September 16, 2007 Version 7 of CenterStage Live, the core element of the CenterStage Suite of paperless studio software, has just been released through distributor TurnKey Media Systems. The upgraded system now offers users the option to make changes in the exclusive CenterStage Enhanced-RDS, HD-PSD and Web displays from password-protected remote access points, as well as the main data entry sites.
The Enhanced-RDS displays provide information beyond rudimentary station name and artist/title data from the playback units. CenterStage users often include automated weather and sports updates and bulletins, time/date-sensitive station promo pieces, occasional song-sensitive items, and even Web-only contests and promotions.
The new release adds further off-site input opportunities to data streams for Enhanced-RDS (RBDS), HD Radio’s PSD, as well as the “now playing” and other Web content for news, weather, sports, and promotions. Modifications are enacted easily by authorized station personnel who check-in off-site through the Internet. Copy and information changes, additions, and deletions may be posted within moments, or on a timed-release basis.
The control room screens for CenterStage Live continue to feature the news, sports, weather, show-prep and promotion materials for on-air operators, plus selected Internet sites, an on-line technical discrepancy system to improve and track station maintenance and repair, and song-request modules.
